Homeward Trust Edmonton (HTE) is a not-for-profit organization charged with ending homelessness in Edmonton. Our efforts are guided by community needs and priorities as outlined in Edmonton’s Plan to Prevent and End Homelessness. We have a dynamic work environment filled with high-energy, dedicated, and passionate people.
Homeward Trust coordinates and provides resources for local efforts to address homelessness and its impacts on individuals, families, and communities. We collaborate with agencies, neighborhoods, mainstream systems, community members, and all levels of government to end homelessness in Edmonton. Our community is recognized nationally and internationally for this work.
Our programs include housing initiatives such as capital project funding, property management, and sourcing access to units for clients, alongside supportive services. We prioritize finding housing first and then establishing the supports needed for clients to remain in their homes.

The Housing Access Coordinator (HAC) screens and refers individuals and families seeking assistance due to homelessness or risk of homelessness. Responsibilities include determining eligibility for Housing with Supports or other relevant programs, and providing liaison and warm referrals to connect clients with appropriate resources. The HAC is a key service ambassador, ensuring efficient, effective, and positive service experiences, with excellent communication and multitasking skills. The position reports to the Team Lead, Coordinated Access, and is part of the Coordinated Access Team.
