Job summary

Hotel Equities is seeking a dedicated Houseperson for the Courtyard by Marriott Nanaimo in Nanaimo, BC. The role involves cleaning designated hotel areas and ensuring a pleasant guest experience during their stay.

The position requires prior room attendant or houseman experience, strong organizational skills, physical stamina, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high cleaning standards. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Work experience as a Room Attendant or Houseman/Houseperson is required.
• Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and products.
• Good physical health and stamina.
• Flexibility to work in shifts.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and respond to special requests.
• Address guest concerns or suggestions and refer to management when needed.
• Attend designated areas such as guestrooms, lobby, hallways, and offices.
• Maintain privacy by properly announcing entry and servicing guestrooms.
• Use and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies per department standards.
• Keep common areas and storage areas clean and orderly.
• Maintain daily log and track keys and communications.
• Handle lost and found items per policy and security rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
