Job summary

The Cove Lakeside Resort in West Kelowna, BC, is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily operations and ensure guest rooms and public areas meet top cleaning standards.

Responsibilities include staff scheduling, training, inspections, inventory management and cross-department coordination. Excellent communication and WHMIS knowledge are required. This permanent role offers a competitive wage and a potential summer bonus.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years housekeeping experience in an accommodation environment (hotel, resort, etc.).
• Previous supervisory experience would be an asset.
• Detail oriented, organized, focused on quality, with effective time management skills.
• Self-starter, with problem solving and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Knowledge of WHMIS and chemical use.
• Proven ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
• Good computer literacy (MS Word, Outlook, and Excel).

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service, addressing guest concerns and/or complaints.
• Lead and supervise the day-to-day operation of the housekeeping department including scheduling, planning, workload management, task delegation, and communication across departments.
• Conduct and/or assist in the orientation and training of new employees to ensure proper onboarding and training.
• Provide ongoing training, coaching and performance evaluations to maintain high-quality service.
• Participate in active oversight of all team members and provide support to stay on task and on time.
• Manage inventory levels of all housekeeping supplies and equipment.
• Conduct daily housekeeping inspections to ensure top quality cleanliness and services.
• Complete administrative tasks including updating department policies, procedures, checklists and training documents.
• Understand proper usage, storage and handling of cleaning agents, materials and chemicals; follow MSDS protocols.
• Adhere to safety and security policies for buildings, assets, staff and guests.
• Ensure compliance with resort policies, procedures and health & safety regulations.
• Complete Room Attendant, House Attendant and Public Spaces Attendant duties as required.

OVERVIEW

The Housekeeping Supervisoroversees the day to day running of the Housekeeping Department to ensure theappearance of all guest rooms, suites, and public areas are clean andmaintained at the highest level of standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Ensure compliance with the Resorts policies,procedures and health & safety regulations.
• Complete Room Attendant, House Attendant and PublicSpaces Attendant duties as required.

ATTRIBUTES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Job Type:Permanent.

Schedule: Full Time – including mornings, evenings, weekends andholidays.

Location: The Cove Lakeside Resort, 4205 GellatlyRoad, West Kelowna, BC, V4T 2K2.
