The Housekeeping Supervisor, in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper, will oversee the quality of cleaning and service in guest rooms and public areas. This role is vital for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Leadership, problem-solving, and decisiveness are essential skills. The position reports directly to the Executive Housekeeper.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure with tight deadlines
• Attention to detail and physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, and heavy loads
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and guide a team
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Internet
• Knowledge of health and safety standards
• Minimum of 3 years housekeeping experience
• Knowledge of laundry operations

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of the Housekeeping Department in the absence of the Manager
• Supervise staff to ensure high standards of cleanliness and service
• Conduct inspections of guest rooms and public areas
• Perform cleaning duties if staffing levels are insufficient
• Schedule staff in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager and Supervisor
• Perform supervisory duties during closing shifts
• Maintain proper lost and found procedures
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures
