Job summary

Fox Harb’r Development Ltd O/A Fox Harb'r Resort in Nova Scotia is seeking a seasonal Housekeeping Room Attendant to support guest accommodations across a rural seaside property. The role involves cleaning, linen services, and assisting guests with requests in a fast-paced environment.

Starting March 1, 2027 and ending November 30, 2027, the position offers 40 hours per week at 19.60 CAD per hour. On-site lodging and relocation support may be available; weekend work is required.

Qualifications

• Basic level of English required.
• On-the-job training provided; prior experience considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, wash, strip, wax and polish floors.
• Dust furniture and vacuum carpeting.
• Make beds and change sheets.
• Distribute towels and toiletries; stock linen closet.
• Clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
• Handle guest requests for supplies or items; report lost and found items.

Job Description

• Sweep, mop, wash, strip, wax and polish floors
• Dust furniture
• Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
• Make beds and change sheets
• Distribute clean towels and toiletries
• Stock linen closet
• Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
• Disinfect operating rooms and other areas
• Clean and disinfect elevators
• Handle and report lost and found items
• Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items
• Provide basic information on facilities
• Pick up debris and empty trash containers
• Wash windows, walls and ceilings
• Clean changing rooms and showers
• May handle customers' complaints or concerns
• Report and store lost and found items

Requirements

• Education: No formal education is required
• Experience: Experience is an asset. On-the-job training will be provided.

Important Information
