Job summary

Extendicare in Kingston, Ontario is seeking a full-time housekeeping associate. You will follow established procedures to mix solutions, deliver supplies, clean dining areas and rooms, strip floors, and assist with laundry and general cleaning tasks.

You may perform outside duties such as snow removal and salting. You will participate in infection control and safety activities, and adhere to safety policies to protect residents and staff.

• Ability to read, write and understand oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy housekeeping duties and small repairs.
• Outside work such as snow removal, sanding or salting as required.
• Cooperate with other departments in transferring residents and moving supplies and equipment.
• Participate in infection control, quality management and safety committees.
