Job summary

AgeCare in Oshawa, Ontario, is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to help maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary Long-Term Care residence for residents, visitors and staff.

You will clean dining rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, lounges and hallways; mop, wax and buff floors; dust furniture; arrange areas neatly; and disinfect sinks, toilets and phones daily. Prior housekeeping experience preferred; a public-school education is required.

• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• A minimum of public-school education is required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans dining rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, lounges, activity areas, offices, hallways, stairwells, and other areas as directed.
• Cleans, mops, waxes, and polishes floors. Operates a floor machine to buff dining room, bedroom, lounge, corridor, and office floors.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Arranges furniture in an orderly fashion.
• Cleans and disinfects sinks, toilets, urinals, and telephones daily.
