Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to keep our Long-Term Care residence safe, clean and sanitary for residents, visitors and staff. You will perform a variety of housekeeping duties across dining rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, lounges and corridors to maintain a home-like environment.

Salary is $20.84 per hour, with placement based on qualifications and experience. Canadian work experience is not required.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• A minimum of public-school education is required.

Responsibilities

• Cleans dining rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, lounges, activity areas, offices, hallways, stairwells, and other areas as directed.
• Cleans, mops, waxes, and polishes floors. Operates a floor machine to buff dining room, bedroom, lounge, corridor, and office floors.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Arranges furniture in an orderly fashion.
• Cleans and disinfects sinks, toilets, urinals, and telephones daily.
