Job summary

Comfort Keepers Victoria is seeking compassionate individuals to provide non-medical in-home care that promotes comfort, dignity, and independence. You will support clients with daily activities, offer companionship, and monitor well-being in a respectful home setting.

Expect to work as part of a supportive team, participate in ongoing training, and follow plans of care while ensuring safety and confidentiality for each client.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is the minimum requirement.
• CPR & First Aid certification or willingness to maintain it.
• Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check is required.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with insurance is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical in-home care according to each client’s Plan of Care.
• Offer companionship through conversation, activities, and social engagement.
• Support emotional well-being and mental alertness.
• Perform light housekeeping (vacuuming, dusting, laundry, cleaning bathrooms).
• Prepare meals.
• Observe and report changes in a client’s condition.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with clients and team.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Participate in training and meetings; ongoing education.

What You’ll Do

• Provide attentive, non-medical care according to each client’s Plan of Care
• Offer companionship through conversation, reading, activities, and social engagement
• Support emotional well-being and mental alertness
• Perform light housekeeping (vacuuming, dusting, laundry, cleaning bathrooms, etc.)
• Prepare meals
• Observe and report changes in a client’s physical, emotional, or mental condition
• Maintain clear, professional communication with clients, and team members
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time
• Participate in training, staff meetings, and ongoing education
• Maintain strict confidentiality and use equipment safely

  What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma (minimum requirement)
  • Valid CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to maintain)
  • Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with insurance is always a bonus!

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  Physical & Working Environment

  • Regular physical activity including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and light lifting (up to 12 kg / 25 lbs)
