Job summary

Lifestyle Options Retirement Communities is seeking a part-time Housekeeper for the Whitemud team. You will perform cleaning duties to maintain a sanitary and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors under supervision.

Responsibilities include following the cleaning schedule, cleaning floors, performing laundry tasks, and assisting in emergencies. English communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal English skills to communicate with residents, visitors and staff.
• Experience with housekeeping and/or senior living facilities is an asset.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to cooperate with other employees and demonstrate teamwork.

• Clean floors with dry/wet mops, waxes, buffs and disinfectants.

The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Housekeeper to join our Lifestyle Options - Whitemud team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will perform cleaning duties in assigned areas to maintain a clean, sanitary, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors under the direction of the housekeeping supervisor.

What you’ll do:

• Follow cleaning schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.,) as outlined for housekeeping department.
• Clean assigned areas, furnishings, and fixtures according to established housekeeping procedures.
• Clean floors with dry mops, wet mops, sweeps, waxes, buffs, and disinfectants.
• Perform emergency housekeeping when accidents occur.
• Perform laundry duties such as wash, dry and fold.

Qualifications :

• Strong written and verbal English skills to effectively communicate with all residents, visitors and at all levels within the organization (required).
• Experience with housekeeping and/or senior living facilities considered an asset.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to cooperate with other employees and demonstrate teamwork.
• Operate various mechanized cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, polishers, and buffers.
• Knowledge of handling various cleaning solvents, chemicals, etc.
