Comfort Keepers in Langley, BC is seeking a dedicated housekeeper to provide non-medical, in-home support that enhances comfort, dignity, and independence for clients.

You will offer companionship, assist with light housekeeping, and maintain accurate care notes, following each client’s Plan of Care. The role emphasizes reliability, empathy, and strong communication in a flexible, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is required.
• Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check is required.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are assets.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and light in-home care per Plan of Care.
• Offer conversation, reading, activities, and social engagement.
• Support emotional well-being and mental alertness.
• Assist with light housekeeping duties (vacuuming, dusting, laundry, dishwashing, bathroom & kitchen cleaning).
• Complete documentation and care notes accurately and on time.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain client confidentiality.

Position Summary

The housekeeper provides companionship, emotional support, and light household assistance to clients while following each client’s individualized Plan of Care. This role plays an important part in helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, non-medical care based on each client’s Plan of Care
• Offer companionship through conversation, reading, activities, and social engagement
• Support clients’ emotional well-being and mental alertness
• Assist with light housekeeping duties including:
  • Vacuuming
  • Dusting
  • Laundry
  • Dishwashing
  • Bathroom and kitchen cleaning
• Complete documentation and care notes accurately and on time
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain client confidentiality

Qualifications & Requirements

Physical & Working Conditions

• Work performed within clients’ homes in the community
