Job summary

Comfort Keepers in Victoria, BC is seeking compassionate housekeepers to provide non-medical, in-home support that promotes comfort, dignity, independence, and quality of life for clients in their own homes.

You will deliver companionship, assist with light housekeeping, and follow each client's Plan of Care, with training and ongoing support from a welcoming team. Wages start at CAD 20.00 per hour, with flexible scheduling and opportunities to make a meaningful difference every day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current CPR & First Aid Certification is preferred.
• Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check is required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are assets.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and light in-home care based on the client's care plan.
• Perform light housekeeping: vacuuming, dusting, laundry, dishes, and cleaning bathrooms/kitchens.
• Support emotional well-being and social engagement.
• Complete care notes accurately and on time.
• Follow safety procedures and protect client confidentiality.

Position Summary

The housekeeper provides companionship, emotional support, and light household assistance to clients while following each client’s individualized Plan of Care. This role plays an important part in helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, non-medical care based on each client’s Plan of Care
• Offer companionship through conversation, reading, activities, and social engagement
• Support clients’ emotional well-being and mental alertness
• Assist with light housekeeping duties including:
• Vacuuming
• Dusting
• Laundry
• Dishwashing
• Bathroom and kitchen cleaning
• Complete documentation and care notes accurately and on time
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain client confidentiality

Qualifications & Requirements

• -High school diploma or equivalent (minimum requirement)
