Job summary

Comfort Keepers Victoria is seeking compassionate individuals to provide non-medical, in-home support to seniors and others who need assistance in Langley. You will offer companionship, assist with light housekeeping, and help clients stay safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.

Responsibilities include following each client’s Plan of Care, documenting care notes, and maintaining confidentiality. We value reliability, empathy, and a professional approach to quality client care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CPR & First Aid Certification.
• Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are assets.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and organized.
• Compassionate, patient, and committed to quality client care.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions carefully.
• Professional attitude with honesty and integrity.

• Assist with light housekeeping: vacuuming, dusting, laundry, dishwashing, bathroom and kitchen cleaning.

• Follow all safety procedures and maintain client confidentiality.

Position Summary

The housekeeper provides companionship, emotional support, and light household assistance to clients while following each client’s individualized Plan of Care. This role plays an important part in helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, non-medical care based on each client’s Plan of Care
• Offer companionship through conversation, reading, activities, and social engagement
• Support clients’ emotional well-being and mental alertness
• Assist with light housekeeping duties including:
  • Vacuuming
  • Dusting
  • Laundry
  • Dishwashing
  • Bathroom and kitchen cleaning
• Complete documentation and care notes accurately and on time
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain client confidentiality

• Work performed within clients’ homes in the community
