Job summary

Cool Aid in Victoria is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe facility for clients and staff. You will work with others to ensure areas are free of hazards and present a positive appearance of the facility.

You will wash and disinfect, dust, wipe, polish, vacuum, sweep and mop surfaces across walls, windows, floors, vents, furniture and mattresses. Shifts are Sunday to Tuesday, 10:00 am to 6:30 pm; hourly wage $25.91–$29.75; part-time, temporary until the incumbent returns.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 plus one year of recent related experience.
• Criminal Record Check required.

• Wash, disinfect, dust, wipe, polish, vacuum, sweep and wet mop areas such as walls, windows, floors, air vents, furniture and mattresses.

The Housekeeper reports to the Housing and Shelters Manager and is responsible for providing a range of services that promote a positive appearance of the facility for both clients and staff. Working in conjunction with others, this position ensures that areas are clean and free of hazards.

The successful applicant should demonstrate the ability to wash and disinfect the facility by dusting, wiping down, polishing, vacuuming, sweeping, and wet mopping areas such as walls, windows, floors, air vents, furniture, and mattresses.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 plus one (1) year of recent related experience.

Requirements

• Complete the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General Criminal Record Check.

Job Information

• Hourly Wage Rate: $25.91 – $29.75.
• Work Location: 1460 Hillside Ave. – Hillside Terrace.
• Work Days: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday.
  
• Shift Times: 10:00 am to 6:30 pm.
• Total Weekly Hours:24.

• Job Type: Part-time, temporary until the return of the incumbent.
