Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking compassionate in-home care professionals to provide non-medical support to seniors in Vancouver area including Burnaby. You’ll offer companionship, assist with light housekeeping, and follow each client’s Plan of Care to keep them comfortable and independent at home.

We value empathy, reliability, and the ability to work independently. CPR/First Aid and a police records check are required; a valid driver’s license is an asset and travel to nearby areas may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (minimum).
• Current CPR & First Aid Certification.
• Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are strong assets.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and light household assistance per each client’s Plan of Care.
• Engage clients in conversation, reading, activities, and social engagement.
• Support emotional well-being and mental alertness.
• Perform light housekeeping: vacuuming, dusting, laundry, dishwashing, bathroom and kitchen cleaning.
• Complete documentation and care notes accurately and on time.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain client confidentiality.

Position Summary

The housekeeper provides companionship, emotional support, and light household assistance to clients while following each client’s individualized Plan of Care. This role plays an important part in helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, non-medical care based on each client’s Plan of Care
• Offer companionship through conversation, reading, activities, and social engagement
• Support clients’ emotional well-being and mental alertness
• Assist with light housekeeping duties including:
  • Vacuuming
  • Dusting
  • Laundry
  • Dishwashing
  • Bathroom and kitchen cleaning
• Complete documentation and care notes accurately and on time
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain client confidentiality

Our office serves seniors in Vancouver and surrounding communities, including Richmond, Burnaby, Langley, Vancouver, etc. This position may require travel to those areas – we do our best to match you with clients in your area.
