Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is seeking a caring Housekeeper for Aspira Doon Village Retirement Living in Kitchener, Ontario. You’ll help keep residents’ homes clean, safe, and comfortable, treating each person with dignity and respect.

In a fast-paced team environment, you’ll perform resident room cleanings, sanitizing bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and preparing spaces for new occupants, ensuring tour readiness. Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada, able to pass required background

What You’ll Be Doing:

You will be a welcomed member of the Retirement team, working in a fast-paced environment where you will make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives. As a Housekeeper you will do meaningful work everyday ensuring a safe and clean environment for residents’. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day.

How You’ll Succeed:

1. Receive assignments, gather materials, and transport supplies to work area.

   Perform a variety of cleaning tasks including:

   • Resident room cleaning as per assigned schedule.
   • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and shampooing carpets.
   • Spot cleaning walls, windows, and doors.
   • Dusting and sanitizing furniture, shelves, and woodwork.
   • Emptying wastebaskets and rearranging furniture.
   • Daily cleaning and disinfecting of bathrooms, including floors, fixtures, and walls.

   Prepare rooms for new occupants, ensuring they are tour-ready at all times.

2. Ensure residents' privacy is respected during cleaning duties.

   Perform any other assigned duties as needed.
