Job summary

Best Western Plus Fernie in Fernie, BC is hiring a dependable housekeeping associate to clean guestrooms to guest satisfaction. The role involves refreshing amenities, making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and stocking linen. You will handle 15 rooms per shift, report maintenance issues, support waste recycling, and follow health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience cleaning guestrooms to guest satisfaction.
• Ability to clean 15 rooms per shift.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Refresh guest amenities, make beds, dust, vacuum, mop floors, shampoo carpets, wash walls and windows, deliver and pick up linen and glassware, empty garbage and recycling, assist with laundry.
• Report maintenance problems in public areas as needed.
• Ensure lost & found items are returned to housekeeping.
• Stock housekeeping closets with sheets and amenities.
• Deliver items to guests and assist with general cleaning of public areas, pool and gym.
• Follow health & safety guidelines (WHMIS, SDS, PPE) and maintain safe environment.

We are seeking dependable, personable individuals with a keen sense of detail to clean our guestrooms to the satisfaction of the hotel and guests.

Duties include:

• Refreshing guest amenities, making beds, dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, shampooing carpets, washing walls & windows, delivering guest request, delivering & picking up linen/glassware, emptying and disposing of elevator landings recycling & garbage, aiding laundry
• Able to complete 15 room pershift.
• Report maintenance problems in public area immediately to room checkers,
• Ensure lost & found items are returned to the housekeepingoffice.
• Support and participate our hotel’s recyclingprogram.
• Be familiar with hotel facilities, housekeeping/laundry chemicals &equipment.
• Participate in on-going training with equipment, tasks, andduties.
• Be knowledgeable in Health & Safety, WHMIS, SDS & PPE
• Ensure & provide safe & healthy environment for both guests &staff.
• Ensure hotel security is protected by following the properprocedures.
• Cleaning public areas, Pool, gym
• Stocking housekeeping closets with sheets and amenities
• Delivering items to guests
• Mopping and vacuuming public areas
