We’re hiring a Housekeeper to join our world-class team at Sonora Resort, a luxury all-inclusive Relais & Châteaux Resort, located in the pristine wilderness of British Columbia. Situated in the Discovery Islands, accessible by water taxi from Campbell River on Vancouver Island, this seasonal position requires on-site work in shift rotations, with a start date in early June 2025.

Position Summary:

The Housekeeper is responsible for delivering five-star cleaning services to 88 guest rooms, including turndown and special services, resort laundry, and common areas. The role requires independent and team work to ensure an impeccable housekeeping experience for guests.

Job Duties:

• Clean guest rooms and common areas to Sonora standards, including dusting, making beds, linen handling, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, and window washing.
• Maintain cleanliness in public and staff areas, floors, and meeting rooms.
• Perform daytime cleaning and evening turndown services.
• Record and update room statuses with management and Guest Services.
• Respond promptly to guest requests.
• Handle laundry tasks such as sorting, folding, and pressing linens.
• Maintain effective communication with colleagues and departments.
• Operate small electric vehicles around the resort.
• Handle sensitive information responsibly.
• Provide excellent customer service and aim to exceed guest expectations.
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities and work efficiently under pressure.
• Perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment, including repetitive movements and heavy lifting.

Qualifications:

• Legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Fluent in English; second language is an asset.
• First Aid certification is a plus.
• At least one year of housekeeping experience; resort experience preferred.
• High School Diploma required.
• Training will be provided for suitable candidates with attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
