L’Arche Sudbury Inc. is seeking a dedicated supervisor to work in a community home supporting Core Members with and without disabilities in Nova Scotia. You’ll coordinate staffing, payroll, training, and daily activities to ensure safe, respectful living environments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of L’Arche history, core values, and mission is an asset or willingness to engage.
• Post-secondary education or experience in human services, disability support, or similar considered an asset.
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience leading diverse teams.
• Prioritizes relationships with Core Members, families or guardians as well as the team.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively and provide feedback as required.
• Skills in scheduling, payroll and Microsoft 365 usage.
• Shows initiative, attention to detail and time management.

Responsibilities

• Learn and understand L’Arche identity and mission, following core documents and confidentiality policies.
• Foster a welcoming atmosphere and coordinate inclusive home celebrations and traditions.
• Support core members through individual plans, medical appointments and daily activities.
• Oversee personal care and daily routines with high standards of care.
• Participate in community life and support committees while promoting inclusion.
• Develop positive relationships with individuals with and without disabilities and family members.
• Ensure safety and maintenance of the home and equipment.
• Lead meetings and orientate new assistants with training and direction.
• Maintain team communication using ADP Workforce Now, Therap, FMS and Microsoft 365.
