Job summary

Cineplex Inc. is hiring an Hourly Bartender for The Rec Room in London, Ontario. You will take and fill drink orders, garnish and serve drinks, handle POS payments, and keep a clean work area. You’ll monitor inventory and restock supplies while ensuring responsible service and safety.

Qualifications

• High-School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Must be of age of majority or older.
• 1-2 years of bartending experience.
• Able to work flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Completed bartending classes preferred.
• Knowledge of drink recipes.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Provincially applicable alcohol certificate.

Responsibilities

• Take and fill drink orders.
• Garnish and serve drinks.
• Collect payment and operate POS.
• Maintain a clean work area and wash glasses and utensils.
• Monitor inventory and restock bar supplies as needed.
• Check IDs and ensure responsible service; assist with safe rides home if necessary.

Job description

What you will do: Hourly Bartender - TRR

• Taking and filling drink orders
• Garnishing and serving drinks
• Collecting payment and operating POS
• Maintaining a clean work area by cleaning up after guests, removing empty bottles and trash, replacing empty beer kegs and washing glasses and utensils
• Monitoring and maintaining inventory by keeping track of wines, beers, liquors, and ordering bar supplies when required, and have stocked the bar by bringing liquor bottles, mixed drink ingredients, and other bar supplies from the storeroom to the bar
• Maintaining a safe environment by checking guests’ identification to ensure they meet the minimum drinking age, determining when a customer has had too much alcohol, stop serving and ensure a safe ride home is arranged, and by refusing service or even calling the police if necessary

Qualifications

• You have a High-School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
• Candidates must be the required age of majority or older
• You have a minimum of 1-2 years of Bartending experience
• You can work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays
• Completed Bartending classes preferred
• You have knowledge of drink recipes
• You have demonstrated time management and organizational skills
• You have excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Provincally applicable sell, sale, and handling of alcohol certificate
