Job summary

The Rec Room, part of Cineplex, seeks an energetic bartender to deliver top-notch service in a fast-paced, social setting. You will handle drink orders, maintain bar inventory, ensure ID checks, and collaborate with a diverse team to create a welcoming guest experience.

Qualifications

• High-School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 1–2 years of bartending experience.
• Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Completion of bartending classes preferred.
• Knowledge of drink recipes.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Provincially applicable alcohol certificate.

Responsibilities

• Take and fill drink orders, garnish and serve drinks, collect payment and operate POS.
• Maintain a clean work area, replace beer kegs, wash glasses and utensils.
• Monitor inventory of wines, beers, liquors and order bar supplies.
• Check IDs to ensure minimum drinking age and stop service if needed; arrange safe ride home.

What you will do:Hourly Bartender - TRRThe Rec Room’s Bartenders are an integral part of the team who provide an exceptional dining experience to each and every guest. The Bartender prepares alcoholic drinks and pours wine and beer for patrons of restaurants, bars, cocktail lounges, and other places where drinks are served. The Bartender is friendly and helpful, and is an expert with standard drink recipes while being flexible to follow guests’ preferences or recipes.
