Job summary

Sandman Hotel Group is seeking a Maintenance Person to perform general building and property maintenance across hotel facilities in British Columbia. Duties include routine pool/hot tub and boiler room service, HVAC upkeep, drywall work, light fixtures, and guest-request responses to improve stays.

Applicants should have 2 years in maintenance, 1 year in building operations, and be comfortable with hand/power tools and WHMIS safety standards. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years of maintenance experience.
• Minimum 1 year of operation and maintenance of buildings.
• Overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Drywall repairs and caulking (required).
• General plumbing repairs.
• General heating and air conditioning knowledge (PTAC units).
• Seasonal outdoor landscaping.
• Property inspections of hotel including common areas and exterior.
• Vandalism cleanup and repair within skill level.
• Maintain heating/ventilation systems, boilers, pumps, fans, control panels, thermostats, cooling towers.
• Maintain fire alarms and extinguishers.
• Maintain outside grounds: snow/ice removal, weed control, gutters, irrigation.
