Job summary

Valhalla Hotel & Conference Centre is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team and ensure top-notch facility upkeep. You will manage daily tasks, oversee work orders, and coordinate with the Maintenance Manager to meet safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong technical trades experience, excellent communication, and the ability to work flexible shifts. Join a dynamic hotel environment in Northwestern Ontario and help maintain guest comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Technical experience in a recognized trade and building maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lead and inspire a team.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Detail-oriented with solid organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Familiarize and comply with hotel mission and standards in maintenance.
• Plan daily activities of Maintenance Department with the Manager.
• Assign tasks and supervise maintenance staff.
• Oversee work orders, projects and timely completion.
• Maintain hotel facilities including HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Keep records of plant and equipment and service history.
• Train staff on safety, maintenance procedures and ordering.
• Inspect property and ensure compliance with safety codes.
