Job description

Join our dynamic team at Seaside Provisions, Wine, Spirits, and Gourmet, located in North Vancouver. We feature a 150-seat restaurant, wine bar, and gourmet market with specialty meats, cheeses, and artisanal chocolates. Our menu includes artisanal flatbreads, fresh salads, succulent steaks, and deluxe charcuterie boards. We offer over 250 labels of wine, spirits, beer, and gourmet provisions for purchase or dine-in.

We are seeking full-time and part-time Guest Service Team members. Responsibilities include creating a positive guest experience, greeting guests warmly, providing wait time estimates, maintaining an organized front-of-house, seating guests, and managing reservations via phone. A team-first mentality and going above and beyond for guests are essential.

Duties

1. Greet customers upon arrival
2. Provide accurate wait time estimates during busy periods
3. Maintain a neat, organized front-of-house environment
4. Seat guests and inform them about features
5. Rotate seating to ensure even workloads
6. Answer phones and schedule reservations
7. Perform other duties as assigned

Guest Service Requirements

• Experience in excellent customer service in fast-paced environments
• Previous restaurant or hotel experience is a plus
• Friendly, welcoming demeanor
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Flexible, with strong interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with MS Word, email, and POS systems such as Opentable, Touch Bistro, and Sevenrooms
• Professional and tactful communication skills
• Strong work ethic, organizational skills, and time management
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 10 pounds
• Willingness to learn menu details and answer guest questions
