Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a Hospitality Worker to maintain a clean, welcoming environment across resident suites, public areas, and offices in our long-term care setting. You will perform routine cleaning tasks, report safety issues, and follow a daily duty checklist.

Require a high school diploma (preferred), English fluency, and prior healthcare or retirement setting experience is a plus. WHMIS training is an asset. Hours are 08:00–16:00 (casual), wage $18.62 per hour; union membership encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of resident suites, restrooms, lounges, offices and public areas.
• Dust, vacuum, mop, disinfect according to the daily tasks checklist.
• Clean windows, polish fixtures, remove trash following company protocol.
• Operate housekeeping equipment and report maintenance or safety issues to the Hospitality Manager.
• Follow the daily duty checklist and assist with other assigned cleaning duties.

The Hospitality Worker is responsible for maintaining a clean and welcoming environment and reporting any maintenance or safety issues to the Hospitality Manager.What Is In It For You:Completes routine cleaning duties as assigned including, but not limited to, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and disinfecting of resident suites, restrooms, showers, nursing stations, lounges, offices, and other areas as assigned.Dusts, cleans, and polishes furniture, cabinets, lamps/light fixtures, wall vents, handrails, baseboards, blinds etc. in resident suites, public areas and offices as assigned.Cleans windows and spot washes walls per routine task checklist.Removes trash from suites, public areas, offices and ensures disposal is in accordance with company protocol.Shampoos carpeted areas as requested.Washes resident bathmats as required.Cleans and polishes fireplace glass.Cleans inside and outside of washers/dryers, empties lint traps at least daily.Uses duty checklist daily and returns to Supervisor for review.Operates housekeeping equipment and implements as required.What You Will Need:High school diploma is preferred.WHIMIS training is an asset.Must be fluent in English, both orally and in writing.Previous experience in a Healthcare or Retirement setting is preferred.Experience with industrial vacuum, scrubber, floor polisher and other related equipment is preferred.Internal Closing Date :: Nov 03, 2026Hours of Work :: 0800 - 1600 (Casual)Approximate Start Date :: Nov 13, 2026Members of Equity Seeking groups are encouraged to apply.Union Membership is a condition of employmentWage Levelling Salary: $18.62 per hour
