St. Louis Adult Learning and Continuing Education Centre in Kitchener seeks a Secondary School Credit Hospitality & Tourism Teacher to deliver curriculum in a classroom and kitchen setting.
You will develop lesson plans, guide the Culinary Program, assess student progress, and liaise with administration. Teaching is in-person with term assignments offered based on qualifications and seniority. Rate: OCT Certified $56.80/hour; Uncertified $46.83/hour plus vacation.
All Hospitality and Tourism credit courses follow Ministry of Education guidelines and are accepted as credits towards an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). The Hospitality and Tourism Teacher will report to the Principal of St. Louis Adult Learning and Continuing Education Centres.
Hospitality & Tourism: TFJ3C, TFJ4C
Cooking & Pastry: TFC3C, TFC4C, TFB3E, TFB4E
Culinary Arts & Prep: TFN3C, TFN4C, TFE3E, TFE4E, TFR3C, TFR4C
Location: St. Louis Main Campus, 80 Young St., Kitchener
Program Hours: 8:45 – 11:45 AM
12:30 – 3:30 PM
Up to 5 hours per week may be added for administrative duties.
Teaching Format: Compressed Schedule (each class is 3 hours per day)
5 terms (37 days per term)
*Term assignments are offered each term based on qualifications and seniority
Rate: $56.80/ hour OCT Certified rate
$46.83/ hour + vacation Uncertified rate
