Job summary

Southlake Health (Newmarket, ON) is seeking a Hospitality Service Associate to perform routine and terminal cleaning, patient support, and general facility tasks. The role requires availability for all shifts, including days, nights, evenings, and weekends, with physical duties such as lifting and standing for long periods.

You will support patient care areas and maintain high cleanliness standards across the facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 education.
• Successful completion of the required training program within designated time limits.
• Able to meet the physical demands of the position (lift up to 25 lbs, push/pull up to 5 lbs, walk/stand for extended periods).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Commitment to customer service and teamwork.
• Ability to lead within a healthcare team.
• Understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion principles.

Responsibilities

• Routine cleaning of patient rooms and isolation rooms.
• Cleaning and remaking beds, stretchers, wheelchairs, IV poles and related items.
• Cleaning of offices, examination rooms, washrooms, lounges, locker rooms, lobbies and waiting areas.
• Replenishment of dispensers (paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap).
• Cleaning of OR theatres, PORR Suite, LDR case rooms and nursery areas between cases.
• Routine floor and carpet care including damp mopping, scrubbing and vacuuming.
