Job summary

Hotel Equities seeks a dedicated Housekeeper for Courtyard by Marriott Nanaimo BC. You will clean guest rooms and public areas to the highest standards, restock supplies, and report maintenance issues to ensure guest comfort and hotel reputation.

Applicants should have a High School diploma and be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to succeed in a fast-paced hotel

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-year experience in a similar position is an asset.
• Experience in a fast-paced, multitasking team environment preferred.
• Demonstrated superior guest service philosophy.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, or Wyndham cleaning standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and prepares guest rooms and public areas to established cleanliness standards.
• Restocks towels, soaps, and room amenities, ensuring supplies are available.
• Washes and sanitizes bathrooms and common areas; reports maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Assists laundry with linen retrieval and distribution as needed.
• Keeps cleaning equipment and supplies organized and safely stored.
• Performs other housekeeping duties as assigned to support hotel operations.
