Job description

The Hawkesbury and District General Hospital (HGH) is seeking Hospitalists to join its dynamic medical team.

HGH is a family and patient-centred bilingual regional hospital providing essential services to residents of Prescott-Russell and surrounding areas. Fluency in both French and English is required due to the predominantly francophone population.

Our team comprises over 200 physicians and 800 staff members committed to delivering exceptional healthcare through teamwork, innovation, and leadership.

Start date and schedules: Flexible

Clinical Setting and Duties

Our team of 29 Hospitalists works on a rotation covering three hospitalist groups and one Continuing Complex Care group. Physicians are on-call, generally scheduled for 7 days (Friday-Thursday) for inpatient care or 5 days (Monday-Friday) in Rehab/CCC. Half-week on-call shifts are also available.

Qualifications

• Certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent
• Independent practice license from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
• Valid ACLS certification
