Come work as a Hospitalist with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) at Lions Gate Hospital (LGH), a recognized trauma centre providing comprehensive acute care services including emergency, critical care, general medicine, surgery, maternity, pediatrics, neurology, neurosurgery, cardiology, orthopedics, psychiatry, palliative care, chemotherapy, diagnostics, nuclear medicine, and rehabilitative services. LGH serves a diverse population across rural and urban settings such as North Shore, Squamish, Whistler, Pemberton, Mount Currie, Sunshine Coast, and Powell River.
We are seeking qualified Locum Hospitalists to provide MRP medical services for acute care medical patients, geriatrics, and neurological, neurosurgical, and orthopedic patient populations, with consultant support. The successful candidates will join the Division of Hospitalists within the Department of Medicine and participate in an on-call rotation approximately once per week. Candidates should have a strong interest in developing their hospitalist practice within our team.
The ideal applicant will have substantial hospitalist experience, expertise with a diverse patient population, high professional standards, and strong clinical skills. Focus areas include quality improvement, system enhancements, teaching, infection control, and antibiotic stewardship. Our team fosters a strong, congenial group dynamic with a positive work ethic.
