Job description

Subspecialty Family Practice or Internal Medicine

Status: Open

Site: Royal Inland Hospital

Site Type: Hospital

Type of Position: Permanent

Date Range: Hours of Work

For a healthy work-life balance, our full-time schedule allows you to work 24 weeks annually. Each week comprises 72 hours — six regular day shifts, one late shift to midnight (on-site to 11pm), and one 8-hour overnight home call.

On Call: Your on-call duties allow for work-life balance. Call frequency is negotiable based on interest and energy - some take more, some less. Your schedule is one 12-hour late shift until midnight (in-house until 11PM) plus one 8-hour overnight call from midnight-8AM per 14 days. For a 1.0 FTE, this averages 1 extended late shift and 1 overnight call every 2 weeks. Any hours worked 11PM-8AM are eligible for MOCAP level 2.

If you’re a US-trained physician with ABMS certification in Internal Medicine, you may be eligible to practice medicine in British Columbia under the CPSBC’s USA certified class pathway.
