Job summary

Shared Health is seeking a 0.80 FTE Security Guard at Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg to patrol facilities, enforce centre rules, assist staff and visitors, and document incidents for investigations.

Requirements include Grade 12 or equivalent, Manitoba Security Guard license, and a valid Class 5 driver’s license. The role requires clear English communication, the ability to handle stressful situations, and work across day, night, and weekend shifts in person.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work at extreme heights to support heli-port operation.
• Must be able to perform pre-landing inspections and emergency systems activation.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Good interpersonal communication and ability to work with others.

Responsibilities

• Patrols buildings and property to create a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
• Enforces laws, rules and regulations of the Health Sciences Centre.
• Assists medical staff when requested and directs visitors.
• Maintains accurate incident records and documents reports for investigations.

Education

Grade 12 Manitoba standard high school or equivalent

Manitoba Security Guard license
