Qualifications

• Graduated from a recognized Community College.
• Registered with the Ontario College of Pharmacists as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Minimum 6 months in a pharmacy setting; hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dispense hospital medications in a unit dose system.
• Check medications independently per policies and procedures.
• Operate distribution and packaging machinery safely and efficiently.
• Maintain narcotics security, counts, and documentation.
• Provide ward stock and ensure proper inventory and expiry monitoring.
• Prepare intravenous antibiotics and narcotic devices using aseptic technique.
• Order vaccines from the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care when needed.
