Job summary

Nova Scotia Health is seeking a Pharmacy Manager - Operations to oversee safe and efficient drug distribution, procurement and staff competency in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized pharmacy technician program.
• Licensed as a pharmacy technician in Nova Scotia, through the Nova Scotia College of Pharmacists.
• Completion of a management training program preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a hospital setting managing human, financial and material resources allocated to Pharmacy service an asset.
• Proficient with computers and office administration programs, experience with pharmacy software and technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, efficient drug distribution and compounding for patients.
• Co-lead with Leadership Team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Oversee drug procurement and inventory management.
• Assess and certify pharmacy technicians and assistants; mentor students.
• Align programs with NSH mission, values and strategic plan.
