Job summary

Shared Health in Winnipeg is seeking a Housekeeping attendant for a full-time 1.0 FTE position at the Health Sciences Centre. The incumbent will perform a variety of cleaning tasks across patient care units, residences, cafeterias, offices, laboratories and corridors.

Duties include keeping entrances clear, assisting with flood cleanup and post-construction cleanup, and using equipment per procedures while following health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 10 education, Manitoba standards, required.
• Must be able to read and speak English effectively.
• Preference will be given to Indigenous language knowledge and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values.
• Classroom and on-the-job training provided by Housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning across patient care units, residences, cafeterias, offices, laboratories, locker rooms and corridors.
• Keep entrances free of litter, ice and snow; assist with flood cleanup and post-construction cleanup.
• Use all equipment and products per Housekeeping procedures and follow safety regulations.
