Job summary

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a Carpenter to perform repairs and alterations to building structures at South Shore Regional Hospital. The role includes millwork, walls, ceilings and doors, with in-house renovations as needed, and training for lock-system cores.

The successful candidate will have a Grade 12, a Journeyperson Certificate or Red Seal in Carpentry, at least two years of experience, and the ability to lift 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent is required.
• Journeyperson Certificate of Qualification in Carpentry or Red Seal endorsement is required.

Responsibilities

• Repair/alter building structures (millwork, walls, ceilings, doors).
• Perform in-house renovations and additions as needed.
• Assist with building cores for lock system (training provided).
