Job summary

Covenant Health Canada’s St. Michael's Health Centre in Lethbridge is seeking an Environmental Services Worker II to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

You will perform routine cleaning, floor care, waxing and carpet maintenance, and assist with transporting furniture, equipment and supplies in a hospital setting. Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 10 or recognized equivalent.
• Ability to perform specialized cleaning in isolation areas; maintain high cleanliness and sanitation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; fluent in English.
• Basic computer skills; follow directions and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
• Transport waste materials to sorting, disposal and storage areas; transport linens.
• Operate floor machines for waxing, stripping, refinishing, burnishing; carpet cleaning and extraction.
• Assist with transport and setup of furniture, equipment and supplies.
• Perform other duties as required.
