Job summary

Notre-Dame Hospital in Hearst, Ontario, is seeking a dynamic, benevolent and visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to shape strategic direction, ensure high‑quality healthcare delivery, and foster a culture of excellence under the Board of directors.

The CEO will lead a diverse team of healthcare professionals, collaborate with stakeholders to implement the strategic plan, ensure compliant operations, drive innovation and patient‑centered care, and steward resources responsibly.

Qualifications

• First-cycle university degree in business administration or commerce.
• At least five years’ experience in a senior executive role.
• Experience within the healthcare industry is an asset.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Bilingual in French and English.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership to guide the hospital in achieving its mission and goals.
• Collaborate with the board of directors, medical staff, and other stakeholders to develop and implement the strategic plan.
• Lead and inspire a diverse team of healthcare professionals, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Ensure efficient and effective delivery of healthcare services.
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and patient-centered care.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, government agencies, and healthcare organizations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
• Ensure the optimal use of human, financial and material resources.
• Exercise immediate and assertive action when addressing sensitive matters, ensuring decisions are made promptly, appropriately, and in alignment with organizational policies.
• Demonstrate sound business judgment in all situations, ensuring decisions prioritize safety, professionalism, fiscal responsibility, and ethical standards.
