HF Care in Toronto seeks a President & CEO to lead culturally rooted mental healthcare for East and Southeast Asian communities in the GTA. The role reports to the Board and guides strategy, programs, finances, and partnerships to grow impact and sustainability.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of senior leadership, not-for-profit experience, strategic thinking, and a deep commitment to belonging, dignity, courage, and equity.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in health, social sciences, public administration, business, or related discipline; master’s strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience including at least 5 years in a senior executive role with accountability for strategy, people, programs, and budgets of comparable scale.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams of 50+ staff and managing operating budgets of $5M+ in relevant sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead HF Care as President & CEO, reporting to the Board of Directors.
  • Guide strategy, operations, finances, risk management, and partnerships to advance culturally rooted mental healthcare in the GTA.

Job Description

HF Care is a non-profit organization dedicated to championing culturallyrooted mental healthcare for people from East and Southeast Asian communitiesacross the Greater Toronto Area. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President & CEO will leadHF Care's next chapter of growth, impact, and organizational development. Withaccountability for programs, people, operations, finances, risk management, andthe HF Care Foundation, the CEO will steward the mission, strengthenorganizational capacity, and position HF Care as a leading voice in culturallyresponsive community mental health. Thisis an opportunity for a strategic, values-driven executive who can see the bigpicture while remaining deeply connected to the communities HF Care serves. TheCEO will balance vision with execution, anticipating changes in the healthcareand social-services landscape, establishing clear priorities, and aligningpeople, resources, and partnerships to achieve meaningful and sustainableresults.

HF Care's next President & CEO will be an accomplished executive whocombines strategic vision, operational discipline, and highly developedrelationship skills. They willunderstand complex health and social-service environments and have demonstratedsuccess leading organizations through growth and change. Able to movecomfortably between long-term strategy and immediate organizational priorities,they will make thoughtful decisions informed by data, experience, communityneeds, and sound judgment. Thesuccessful candidate will be a trusted and credible relationship builder who canengage effectively with Boards, employees, government, funders, donors,healthcare partners, and community leaders. They will bring strong financialand organizational acumen, along with the ability to attract and developtalented people, empower leaders, and build a culture of collaboration andaccountability. They will bring aculturally informed understanding of the mental health experiences, stigma, andaccess barriers within East and Southeast Asian communities; and a solidgrounding in diversity, equity, and inclusion principles, paired with theability to operationalize them across day-to-day organizational practice. Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in health, social sciences, public administration,business, or a related discipline; a relevant master's degree is stronglypreferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience, including a minimum of fiveyears in a senior executive role with accountability for strategy, people,programs, and budgets of comparable scale and complexity.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams of 50 or more staffand managing operating budgets of $5 million or more, ideally in health, mentalhealth, social services, or community-sector environments.
  • Proven experience working with and reporting to a Board of Directors,including governance, strategic planning, and organizational performancemanagement.
  • Leadership experience in the not-for-profit sector is required; Ontariohealth or community-services experience is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of health and social-service systems, service design,operational effectiveness, program evaluation, capital and infrastructureplanning, human resources, finance, and enterprise risk management.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, strategic, and financialacumen, with the ability to steward a multi-million-dollar budget and supportlong-term sustainability.
  • Experience withcharitable foundations, fundraising strategy, major gifts, or philanthropyleadership is a significant asset.

The proposed compensation range for the role is $160,000-$200,000.
