The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County in Ontario is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct end-of-life care within our Hospice Residences and affiliated teams.

You will assess patient needs, develop care plans, manage symptoms, collaborate with physicians, social workers, and volunteers, and mentor new staff while upholding our compassionate, patient-centered approach. Flexible scheduling and ongoing professional development are supported.

Qualifications

• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Registered Nurse with current license in good standing.
• Experience in palliative/end-of-life care is preferred.
• Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team.
• Flexible hours including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct, hands-on end-of-life care and administer medications.
• Assess patient and family needs and develop care plans to maintain comfort and dignity.
• Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and volunteers.
• Educate patients and families about condition, prognosis and care options.
• Mentor and orient new staff to Hospice processes and culture.
• Maintain documentation and adhere to policies and guidelines.
