Job summary

ParaMed is seeking Home Support Workers to travel across Windsor/Essex County and surrounding towns, supporting seniors in daily living and personal care. You will visit multiple patients daily, assist with meals, housekeeping, and companionship, and provide hygiene support as needed.

Training is provided in a 3-week in-class program, with potential for part-time hours and benefits after graduation. A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Compassion and listening skills are required.
• Willingness to visit patient residences within a designated area.
• Valid driver license and access to a vehicle.
• Ability to pass a Criminal Background screening.
• Experience with seniors or children is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Travel from patient to patient completing several home visits per day.
• Prepare meals and assist with meal-time.
• Basic housekeeping duties.
• Provide companionship and support the well-being of patients.
• Assist with personal hygiene care including showering and bathing.
• Support for basic activities of daily living.

Job DescriptionWe are currently looking for Home Support Workers to join our team travelling throughout Essex County.Must be willing to travel home to home throughout Windsor/Essex County and surrounding towns.As a Home Support Worker, you will assist people in your community to live safely in their homes by supporting them with daily tasks and self-care activities.You will receive free and paid training in a full time 3 week in-class program designed to teach you the skills needed to work as a Home Support Worker.
