Job summary

Z’s Family Care in Surrey, BC is hiring a Home Support Worker to provide in-home care for an elderly client. The role offers 30 hours per week at a rate of $24.50 CAD per hour, with full-time, permanent employment.

You will assist with personal care, meals, mobility, and light housekeeping, and you may accompany the client to medical appointments. A stable schedule in Surrey is provided for a lasting placement.

Qualifications

• Completion of secondary school is required.
• 1+ years of relevant work experience is required.
• First aid certification is required.
• Patience with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to the elderly including bathing, hygiene and dressing.
• Provide personal care and companionship.
• Prepare meals and assist with special diets.
• Assist and supervise exercise and outdoor activities.
• Test blood pressure, temperature, pulse and keep records.
• Make bed and keep the room tidy.
• Perform cleaning or sterilizing of medical equipment.
• Perform routine housekeeping duties such as laundry and dishes.
• May accompany to doctor’s appointments.
• Perform other related duties as required.
