Overview

Position details: TITLE OF POSITION: Home Support Worker

Employment Details

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-time (30 – 40 hours per week)

WAGES AND BENEFITS: $21.00 to $24.50 per hour (to be negotiated), 100% MSP and WCB Coverage

ANTICIPATED START DATE: As Soon As Possible

Skills and Employment Requirements

• Completion of a training program in elderly care or a related field; OR
• Elderly care or household management experience is an asset; AND
• First Aid and CPR Certificates.

Main Duties

• Administer medications
• Assist client with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
• Assist in regular exercise (e.g., walk)
• Launder clothing and household linens
• Mend clothing and linens
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Provide companionship
• Provide personal care
• Shop for food and household supplies
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Cook
• Maintain clean and safe work environment

Safety and Security

Criminal Record Check and Medical Examination are mandatory.

• Position is for LIVE-OUT only
• Work schedule will be split shift or will be arranged weekly based on the work schedule of the employers
