Job details

Home Support Worker

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Work setting: Work in employer's/client's home.

Tasks:

1. Administer bedside and personal care
2. Administer medications
3. Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
4. Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
5. Feed or assist in feeding
6. Mend clothing and linens
7. Plan therapeutic diets and menus
8. Provide companionship
9. Provide personal care

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling; a combination of sitting, standing, walking.

Personal suitability: Punctuality, organized, patience, honesty.

Experience: 1 to less than 7 months.
