Job summary

SWMP offers an 8-month Business Program in Canada where you will learn to plan and recruit during the winter/spring while studying part-time, then run your own operation as GM in the summer with full-time duties.

You gain hands-on general management experience, a real P&L, and a mentorship that lasts beyond the summer, with earnings around 27k–29k in the first year.

Job description

SWMP is looking for driven, coachable people to run their own Home Service business before they graduate through our 8-month Business Program, starting this winter and wrapping up in the fall.

You’ll spend the off-season (winter/spring - first semester) preparing sales, planning, and recruiting your team with direct mentorship from people who've built real businesses themselves. Then you’ll spend the summer as the general manager of your own operation: leading a crew, serving customers, and owning your financial results.

Program structure:

• Winter and Spring: Business planning, sales training, and team recruitment, supported by hands-on coaching (You will be working half-time while going to classes)

• Summer: Full operational control. You run the business day-to-day (Full-time)

• Fall: Wrap-up, results review, and case-study-worthy outcomes for your resume

What we look for:

• Strong track record of sustained effort: academically, athletically, or otherwise. You don't shy away from hard work

• A bias toward ownership: you'd rather be responsible for the outcome than manage a piece of it
