Job summary

The Care Company Inc. is seeking motivated Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy Assistants to join our community-based rehabilitation team. You will provide in-home OT/PTA services, supporting clients to remain safe, mobile and independent across Central Ontario.

Travel and scheduling flexibility are essential. Applicants must have OTA/PTA credentials, be able to travel, and communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in OTA/PTA from a recognized college.
• Experience in home and community care preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel across GTA.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
• CPR/First Aid, vulnerable sector check, and immunization compliance may be required.
• Criminal Record Check completed within the last year.

Responsibilities

• Implement prescribed treatment plans under supervision of a Registered OT/PT.
• Support clients with exercises, mobility training and functional tasks.
• Reinforce home exercise programs and monitor progress.
• Assist with transfer training and safe mobility techniques.
• Provide caregiver education and support for OT/PT care strategies.
• Coordinate with supervising OT/PT and interdisciplinary team.
• Travel to client homes across the GTA; adjust to caseload changes.
• Maintain communication with clients and Care Coordinators.
