Wetaskiwin Co-op is seeking a Home Center Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales in our home and building center. You will assist customers in selecting products, maintain an appealing sales floor, and complete training to stay knowledgeable on merchandise.
The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a proactive approach to meeting customer needs while upholding store standards. Training will be provided to support product knowledge and on-site projects.
Wetaskiwin Co-op is located in central Alberta operating in 9 locations in 5 communities of Wetaskiwin, Innisfail, Camrose, Edmonton and Falun. We operate in a variety of product lines including consumer hardware, building products, crop inputs, petroleum, liquor and feed manufacturing. Reporting to the Home and Building Solutions Manager, the Home Center Sales Associate is a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual who has strong attention to detail. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers in selecting the right products, and driving sales within our home and building center. Duties will include but are not limited to:

You have experience in a customer service environment with proven positive customer interactions.
Experience in Hardware, Retail, and Building Products Sales is considered an asset.
You quickly prioritize individual responsibilities and effectively manage time under deadlines.
You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
You have the willingness to learn about renovation supplies, home improvement processes, hand tools, and fireplaces/woodstoves. Training will be provided to strengthen product knowledge.
Previous Building Center and Retail experience is considered an asset.
