Job summary

Wetaskiwin Co-op in central Alberta is hiring a full-time cashier to join our store team. You will process transactions, assist customers, and promote store promotions while maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Applicants should have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and be available for weekends and holidays. Previous cashier experience is an asset; Mi9 POS experience is a plus.

• Troubleshoot till and customer-service issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Wetaskiwin Co-op is located in central Alberta operating in 9 locations in 5 communities of Wetaskiwin, Innisfail, Camrose, Edmonton and Falun. We operate in a variety of product lines including consumer hardware, building products, crop inputs, petroleum, liquor and feed manufacturing. Reporting to the Assistant Hardware Manager, the Cashier is a self-motivated individual who has strong attention to detail. This is a full-time permanent position eligible for benefits. Duties will include but are not limited to:

What you’ll do:

• Responsible to always provide an exceptional level of customer service.
• Be professional, friendly, and courteous, contributing to a positive team environment.
• Process transactions of cash, debit, credit card, charge accounts, gift cards and cheques through the point-of-sale terminal using the Mi9 system.
• Respond to general customer and member inquiries and be familiar with in-store promotions, bulletins, updates, and products.
• Ensure adherence to merchandising standards, marketing efforts, and housekeeping standards while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Troubleshooting till and customer service issues.
• Other duties as assigned.
