Job summary

The Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority in Selkirk, MB is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse – Home Care to join the Home Care team. This 0.70 FTE, Indefinite Term role supports the multi-disciplinary team and delivers holistic nursing care in residents' homes.

The successful candidate must be a registered LPN in Manitoba with current BLS, IV Therapy, Wound Care 1 & 2, and at least 1 year of nursing experience (preferably Home Care); valid Manitoba driver's license is required for

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse registered in good standing with CLPN Manitoba.
• IV Therapy course.
• BLS certification current.
• Wound Care Level 1 & 2 completed.
• Minimum one year nursing experience, preferably in Home Care.
• Valid Manitoba driver's license with access to a vehicle.
• Ability to work weekends/evenings as required.
• Ability to work independently and in isolated areas.
• Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality.
• Criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening required.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of Home Care Nursing Supervisor, function as part of multidisciplinary team.
• Administers functions as assigned by Home Care Case Coordinator.
• Provide integrated, holistic health services responsive to residents and staff.
• Use professional judgment to handle day-to-day matters.
• Foster collaborative interdisciplinary environment and quality improvement.
