Job summary

Gulf Coast Materials LTD. on Salt Spring Island is hiring a driver to operate a concrete mixer (no trailers) for local deliveries.

You'll be home every day with no highway hauling or overnight trips and you'll load, deliver and place concrete at job sites with a focus on safety. This full-time position offers competitive pay, a local work focus, and a small, supportive team where your contribution truly matters.

Qualifications

• Requires Valid Class 3 license with air brake endorsement.
• Safety-focused, reliable, and able to work independently.
• Experience driving concrete trucks is an asset; training available.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the concrete mixer (no trailers).
• Complete short, local deliveries around Salt Spring Island.
• Load, deliver, and place concrete at job sites.
• Provide friendly, professional service to local contractors and homeowners.
• Perform basic daily vehicle checks and keep the truck clean.
• Light duties around the yard.
• Basic truck maintenance/small repairs.

Gulf Coast Materials is a small, locally owned concrete supplier serving the Salt Spring Island area. The job would be operating a single concrete truck with no trailers, focusing on short, local deliveries—you’re home every day and never hauling long distances.

What we’re looking for:
